Reunion Island’s Mountain

 

La Réunion is an island who gives mass landscape confronting sea and mountain, merging sea and mountain. La Réunion is a heavenly place for the nature lovers. Peak, rampart, caldera, craters…show us the beauty of the Reunion’s relief, this is why Reunion Island were included in UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites on 10 August 2010.

His relief gives the possibility to practise many activities: we can picnic with family, friends for example at Maido; we can camp; we can go to for a hike to discover the relief, the nature, the fauna and the flora.

However, to explore the island, we must respect some rules and advices:

-collect our wastes even if they are biodegradable to avoid luring rats and their proliferation, because they damage the natural habitat of other animals;

-don’t go to hunting outside the season of hunting;

-don’t damage any way the environment;

-always have suntan oil and a cap;

-respect the signs of path and don’t go in a closed path;

-don’t light a fire except if there is a place to do this but think to turn off the fire;

-don’t walk alone

-don’t drink water of river and natural pool;

-foresee water;

-reserve his shelter;

-in case you will do wild camping, inform you if the place will be able to do wild camping;

-inform you about the temperature when you go out;

There is good to know that on Reunion’s earth, there is no dangerous animal.
